What a night!

 

When we first set out with the idea of Grapplemax, it was about more than just an event. It was about giving something back to a sport that has given me so much—a sport I’ve grown to love deeply. But it was also about something equally important: providing a platform for the athletes who work tirelessly day in and day out, to showcase their incredible skills. This was their moment to shine.

 

The idea for Grapplemax came from Tristan, who pitched the concept of a Midlands grappling show to me at the end of 2023. Fast forward nine months of planning, hard work, and dedication, and we were finally ready to bring Grapplemax to life, unleashing it to the public in a way we hoped would change the game.

 

For many in the audience, this was their very first grappling event, and the feedback we received—especially from first-timers—was overwhelmingly positive. We set out to do things differently, to break the mold of what people expect from a grappling show. Instead of focusing solely on the competition, we wanted to create an atmosphere that was electric from start to finish, with non-stop, fast-paced action and entertainment. And based on the response, I think we managed to do just that.

 

But what’s next? What can you expect from Grapplemax 2?

Well, we’re bringing back the same incredible venue, but this time we’re raising the bar with an even higher standard of production. Expect even more thrilling matchups, with athletes pushing themselves to new levels. Our livestream will be significantly expanded to ensure fans at home get an experience that matches the intensity of the live event. We’ll have more celebrity guests, and of course, we’ll be throwing in a little humor to keep things light and fun.
